Aside on Java objects vs. other Mathematica expressions

In Mathematica, we are used to looking inside expressions and extracting parts of them, e.g.,

"index_24.gif"

"index_25.gif"

"index_26.gif"

"index_27.gif"

"index_28.gif"

"index_29.gif"

"index_30.gif"

"index_31.gif"

But this does not work with the symbols that contain Java objects whose internal structure is not visible in Mathematica:

"index_32.gif"

"index_33.gif"

Hence the need to learn about their Java methods.  However we can do this inside Mathematica.
